description
We dream of the society where people will live in equality environment, free from stereotypes and violence.

The problem we are trying to solve:

The COVID-19 outbreak and the war in 2020 made us to revalue our daily activities modifying the plans of activities, communication and impact forms. We had to learn more, get new skills, and be more flexible in implementing our daily activities. But we has remained faithful to the mission of the social justice foundation and with the offered initiative we will work against to gender gaze sex selection breaking stereotypes by the culture.

We will pay attention women rights, and especially to double valuable group -women with intellectual disabilities. We think that the country where the rights of almost half publicity is not supposed to prosper. Every year due to those stereotypes almost 1400 girls doesn’t born in Armenia (UN official data). Our country is the second in the world by the percent of selective abortion after China. The Armenian nations will begin to assimilate from 2021 because of little population. The double increased during pandemic and war crisis numbers of women violation has negative impact. Though the domestic violence is commonly kept secret, we managed to find out many violence cases of women. We have the same picture in the sphere of employment. Being disabled especially having intellectual disability means to have many obstacles to work, to realize your own strengths and weaknesses, which is the quintessential example of discrimination. Now we need support to implement the next steps.

The solution we are proposing:

To draw the government's attention to discrimination against women, for generating behavioural changes we need to gather quantitative and qualitative data, but also to mobilize the public with graphic pictures and visual materials, advocate equal rights of women and persons with disabilities.

The project is consisted to 3 parts.

1․the creation of data base of women in post-pandemic և post-war period.  In  this period we will create and co-operate with the networks of young people groups, with google form tool we will gather the data about the 2 regions one of which is Yerevan in Armenia, where the most significant cases has been registered. To provide the process the appropriate trainings will be needed to implement.

2․ The creative awareness campaign will be held based on gathered data in grassroots level. The training of silk screen printing techniques will be held for community young people.  During the interactive trainings the young people will print social messages on eco-bags, the use of which will provide the further widespread awareness of the project.

3․The training advocacy, networking, community mobilization and the attraction additional funds will be needed to provide the continuity of the activities.

  1. The ability strengthening training will be held for young people, as a result they can implement surveys.
  2. Posters, flyers will be printed for raising the awareness level of the community.
  3. To show the activities of the project the media lunch will be held where the representatives of TV and radio will be invited. During that event we will talk about our initiative as a result those representatives will invite us to the talk shows, radio broadcast. It's the innovative approach to work with media field but also it’s effective.

What success looks like for us:

The success is that the initiative is going on its way generating the social changes. It's that when your initiative becomes the success of everyone.
