In September 5, 2018 the idea that was burning somewhere in the middle of us became a reality. The desire for knowledge and the desire to share it have united our team. The concentration of people who strive for the same thing in one square meter persistently leads to the realization of their goal. That's how the Center for Creativity and Intellectual Development came into being. Social activity, intellectual potential, new technologies and youth activity. are key areas of our activity.

Our common dream is to build, to create, to ignite sparks in the eyes of others, to unite and to help others grow. Our mission is to create the future together through the development of creativity and strengthening the intellectual potential of society.

The problem we are trying to solve:

Vyzhnytsya territorial community is located in the west of Chernivtsi region in the foothills of the Carpathians at a distance of 70 km from the regional center with a total population of 17 thousand people. The rural residents (76.6% of the total) have limited employment opportunities at their place of residence. In addition, the Vyzhnytsia Community Development Strategy until 2027 identifies youth unemployment and shadow employment as one of the key issues.

This situation significantly affects women (54% of the population) and their quality of life. It is important to identify the following threats:
- the population aged 19-39 is the important social category of the community (29% of the total number), of which 50% are women. In this age group, the situation of young mothers and mothers in general who is on childcare leave and looking for additional sources of income is particularly precarious. Unfortunately, the process of finding work by them is significantly limited (some gender stereotypes, including in the sphere of women's employment in our community);
- the community is characterized by negative natural growth, so it is especially acute that young people aged 15-18 (52% - girls) see the prospects for the future in their home community and after graduation return from the regional center to work home. At the same time, it is important to create opportunities for self-realization of girls in the community, and not to lock them in the format of exclusively family affairs or to see their prospects on earnings abroad;
- increasing labor mobility and the associated increase in unemployment. Women often move from rural areas to large cities. Thus, in particular, in 2020, 20% more women than men left the Vyzhnytsia community. Labor migration is also widespread in the community, as a result of which women are looking for opportunities to earn money abroad, jeopardizing their family relationships.
- the total number of unemployed in 2017 was 2792 people, but it should be borne in mind that this is an indicator of registered unemployment and does not reflect the full picture of the community labor market.

The current situation in the community has been significantly complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to a deterioration in the economic and psychological situation of women due to redundancies or job losses, more difficult business conditions, and a reduction or loss of income.

According to experts, the main social contradiction in the field of women's employment is that, on the one hand, the market model allows free development of women's economic initiative, independence, and autonomy in choosing forms of employment, and on the other - women are less willing and adapted to such activities than men.

The intensification of women’s entrepreneurship will have a positive impact on increasing the economic capacity and independence of women, the general well-being of the community and should be identified by local authorities as one of the priority areas of community development.

The solution we are proposing:

Our project is aimed to support girls and women entrepreneurs across Vyzhnytsia territorial community and activation of a decisive success factor for the economy of our territorial community: women entrepreneurship.

The goals of our project:

• to promote equal opportunities for girls and women from remote rural and mountain areas in the framework of FemBusinessHubVizhnytsia;

• to encourage and support girls and women to open their start-ups and implement ideas online and offline. THE CONCEPT OF OUR FemBusinessHubVizhnytsia

FemBusinessHubVizhnytsia will combine the functions of a work office and a place to find like-minded people. FemBusinessHubVizhnytsia will be created specifically for the girls and women of Vyzhnytsia territorial community. It’ll be modern space for work and rest: COWORKING AREA - the possibility of organizing personal space for the effective work of everyone; MEETING AREA - for online conferences and business meetings, lectures and masterclasses and different events; RELAX / ANTI-STRESS AREA - for relax and rest; MEDIA AREA - for streaming, interviewing, and etc; KID’S AREA - play and creative area for children; CAFE - balanced menu, delicious coffee or tea.

The goals of our project are:

• to promote equal opportunities for girls and women from remote rural and mountain areas in the framework of FemBusinessHubVizhnytsia;

• to encourage and support girls and women to open their start-ups and implement ideas online and offline.

Main steps are:

• to create FemBusinessHubVizhnytsia;

• to conduct a series of inspiring events, different workshops and trainings for rural women with the participation of psychologists, gender, business experts and employment consultants;

• to visit enterprises in order to connect with existing successful stories of business;

• to develop an individualised program that accompanies women entrepreneurs within the digital economy.

What success looks like for us:

• Increasing number of young women employment;

• Increasing number of new women businesses;

• Women don’t leave the territorial community.

$14,000 - $15,000 per year

How this funding will help us achieve our goals:

We know that when establishing and running a business, women face challenges like access to finance, information, business networks, and training, and the lack of confidence and fear of failure, reconciling business and family. We cannot improve all of these at the same time, but we want to make sure that girls and women have the knowledge and all the possible support tools at their disposal.

This funding helps us to achieve the main goals of our project:

• to create FemBusinessHubVizhnytsia;

• to promote equal opportunities for girls and women from remote rural and mountain areas in the framework of FemBusinessHubVizhnytsia;

• to encourage and support girls and women to open their start-ups and implement ideas online and offline.

How this funding will strengthen our group:

• to create the next series of strategic steps (the organization must keep moving forward);

• new knowledge (for example, information about new developments in funding; new trends in hub management etc.);

• identify potential new opportunities for cooperation and networking(new partnerships and expanded collaborative possibilities).

How we gain by being a Spark Fund partner:

We estimate funding opportunity as key step towards empowering women economically and improving their livelihood security through developing entrepreneurial skills of women from small communities. It's a big responsibility and fantastic chance to make our dreams come true.

How we would like to spend a grant through the Spark Fund:

Project funds cover the purchase of the computer equipment, rent office for the conducting of business trainings, master-classes and other activities to develop entreprenerial skills of young women.

Our Organization Structure:

There are 7 members in our organization. The General Meeting of the Members of the Organization is the highest body of the Organization. At these meetings, we determine our strategy and establish the general directions of our development. The Board of the Organization and the Head of the Organization help our organizational ship to stay stable on the waves and go in the right direction. The voice of our members is important. Every one of our team can make suggestions, which are discussing at the General Meetings. We have Head of the Organisation, deputy Head, Managers responsible for educational projects, analyst. Everyone has its part of responsibilities, but together we create the strong mechanism.

We are a youth-focused organization. We are youth-led Because The average age of the members of the Board of the Organization is 30 years and the average age of members is 37 years. We are going beyond any age restrictions and believe that spirit of youth couldn’t be stopped.
