Ukrainian youth public organization "Gaudeamus"

description

Satisfaction and protection of legitimate social, cultural, educational and other common interests of our members, promotion of innovative educational activities in the field of education, employment and development of youth entrepreneurship of students with disabilities.

We want to create an inclusive festival of creativity of young people with disabilities, with the participation of groups with students with disabilities and normal health. We want to increase the level of employment of graduates of colleges and universities with disabilities. We want to provide those students with disabilities who really need it with Personal Assistants, who would increase their level of independence in various spheres of life during the cooperation. We have some experience in all these areas.

The problem we are trying to solve:

There are many adults in the organization who have started working in this direction since their student days. Times are changing and now they understand that we need to focus on the needs of modern students with disabilities. As a result of communication constructive decisions are made.

The solution we are proposing:

It allows you to clearly define the problem, unites members of the organization in solving the problem. Attitude to each other members of the organization and to the problems of people with certain individual characteristics. We talk about problems, discuss them at joint meetings, draw conclusions and try to prevent further situations.

What success looks like for us:

"Success is the involvement of a significant number of people in the project implementation, it is solving the problems of a particular person, improving the quality of his life, as well as changing the worldview of society. We understand the impact of our activities on youth in the community through quantitative and qualitative indicators"

Where we are are based:

Kyiv, Ukraine

Funding we are applying for:

$12,000 - $14,000 per year

How this funding will help us achieve our goals:

Yes, it will give us the opportunity to organize and join more projects aimed at creating an inclusive environment in various spheres of life, the opportunity to attract interesting people to these projects, to create something new.

How this funding will strengthen our group:

No.

How we gain by being a Spark Fund partner:

We will be able to attract high-quality trainers with interesting techniques using digital technologies, and more people to train, and, accordingly, more people will be able to provide quality services and support. We will be able to raise the level and expand the competencies of members of the organization throughout Ukraine who will join the projects. And we will distribute our experiences to communities.

How we would like to spend a grant through the Spark Fund:

"1. trainings for team building for members of the organization from cells in different cities of Ukraine
2. fundraising trainings for members of the organization from branches in different cities of Ukraine
3. trainings on training of Personal assistants for persons with disabilities, in order to increase the level of their independence."

Our Annual Income:

The organization has participated in many projects on a voluntary basis

Our Organization Structure:

We work together. Because we work for young people, we try to pay attention and make decisions based on their position. But sometimes it is difficult to agree.

In addition, everyone has the right to vote and decision-making depends on more votes. Because if the team does not support the idea, its implementation is impossible and it is important for us to coordinate, understand and move in one direction, if necessary, against the flow, but together to build an inclusive environment.

If young people can understand better, we learn from them and vice versa. There are many adults in the organization who have started working in this direction since their student days. Times are changing and now they understand that we need to focus on the needs of modern students.
